HEAVYM : FR/EN

This workshop is made for people who wants to learn projection mapping from the beginning, and quickly use it for basic projects. The Digital Essence team will help you in your first experience with projection mapping, and will answer to your questions for more advanced project.

Computing skills : use a computer and basic skills in creative software

Equipment : bring your Mac or Windows computer, preferably under 4 years old, on which they will be able to install the HeavyM software (full licence granted for 3 months).

Volumes : we can provide you our Olga pyramid kits or you can bring your own volumes

In This workshop you ll learn with professional how to build a stage design with the technique of Led and video mapping. you ll learn how to program LED, build the stage, prepare your video mapping.

You ll also have the possibility to build your own interface of LED using madmapper, and a new technique to control your LED with a arduino with Madmapper.

This workshop invite the people to discover MapMap as well as the tools and software dedicated to the practice of projection mapping It will also allow participants to learn the whole visual and technical production chain related to projection mapping by testing and producing experiments. The workshop aims to introduce the participants to the essential notions of projection mapping, so that they can develop their own project.

MapMap is a free software of projection mapping which is mainly aimed at artists and small teams. Its intuitive interface facilitates learning and promotes artistic expression.
